Course Description

Course description

You have the power to help create a culture of ethics in your organization. Regardless of the size of your organization and regardless of your job title or job description, there are things you can be doing right now to assure a culture of ethics in your business.

This brief course will give you tips on nine often-ignored conduits usually ‘hiding in plain sight’ that you can use to help create and maintain a culture of ethics, compliance, and accountability in your organization.

What you will learn:

  • Nine often-ignored areas on which you and your organization can focus in order to help a culture of ethics, compliance, and accountability.
  • Ideas on how a greater focus on ethics and values can lead to a wide range of improvements in your business.
  • A brief survey to help you spot often-overlooked or ignored ethics risks in your organization.
  • A “Where From Here” module to help you focus on how to put the nine areas covered in this course into use.
  • Actionable steps you can take right now – regardless of your job title or job description - that will help keep your focus, and the focus of those around you, on building and maintaining a culture of ethics.

NOTE: This course is based on my observations and impressions. While I believe that those observations and impressions are both well-informed and well-reasoned, they are observations and impressions none-the-less. If you are looking for a primarily empirically-based, data-driven course, this course is probably not for you.

There are no prerequisites for this course. It is suitable for all levels of experience.

The format is brief written segments. There is a test at the end of the last learning module which is required only if you would like a certificate of completion for this one-hour course. (Because of the written format, module-by-module study questions have not been used in this course. You may refer back to the written course materials if/as needed to complete the test at the end of the course.)
